I suspect Edgar's 2006 70th Anniversary 4/4 must have been fitted with the ball thrust race at some stage. I just found a reference in GoMog which says that damper blades were discontinued in late 2007. It would be quite hard to see if you did not know it was there because it is hidden under the rubber cover which is also partly hidden under the base of the spring.
