Rather than closing, let's get back on topic.
I must admit I have bought far more used cars than new. This however normally tends to be for fiscal reasons and as such slightly irrelevant for this discussion.
As such taking out any financial advantage, and introducing Morgan and their foibles I personally would probably prefer a new car simply for the joy of anticipation. We all know that most of the joy of a new car is the initial thought process, the search and then the excitement leading up to collection
oh of course with our cars the enjoyment doesn't end, far from it, but it's a different enjoyment.
The stages are probably more akin to those we go through when meeting our better halves, the thrill of the chase, the twinge of the heart strings when you see a reciprocation and the euphoria of falling head over heels. The period of ownership is then similar to the deep love of a good woman after the initial 'excitement' and adrenalin has worn off. A good solid affection and bond and of knowing you are both meant to be together, fully respecting each others wants and needs.
ok ok so I may have gone a tad off topic, and a bit mad
but you know what I mean.
and thus, to get back on line, that's why a prolonged buying process would swing me over the 'hassle' of getting those little niggles sorted
) - but at least its exactly the car I planned for and dreamed about
