Sorry but you really do have it backwards. In general terms oiled filters give higher air flow but stop less dust. After a while, when they get dirty, they give less airflow. OEM filters give less airflow initially, filter more dust, and last longer.

Special cases such as off road vehicles and race vehicles are a different issue because of their particular requirements and the fact that they get more attention.

This is not just my opinion but also that of many impartial experts.
