I have the diagnosis of the cars problem and it is this.
Because of water ingress (presumably over time)the fuel pump has burnt out along with the connector. The garage is waiting for a replacement which may arrive tomorrow. With 5 hours being charged for labour on top of the pump the whole affair is going to cost a small fortune.I also wonder if this is not the cause the engine management light on the dash is permanantly on?
Ironically one of the reasons for buying a very low milage "new " car was the wish to avoid standing on the side of the road waiting for a low loader had I bought an older unreliable classic car. Todate since 2009 I have had to use this service 5 times!!! for the roadster.
This is on top of having the vehicle regularly serviced at Brands Hatch Morgan.
