They said no, as it was not adding any value to the car
Also they confirmed that it was ok even though it's not produced by MMC.
I must admit as it is a mechanical re-design so to speak I'd thought that it would be in the insurer’s interest, apparently with mine it's not.
I think for peace of mind it's worth checking just to make sure.
