I was told today by a lady that I walk Harry with that her 12 year old Ford Fiesta she has been told will fail its MOT next year as the ECU unit displays a fault on the engine, which actually is not a real fault but a hiccup in the software/sensor, resetting the ECU error codes gets ride of it but after a few months it comes back. Next year MOT stations will not be allowed to reset the ECU error codes (even bogus ones) and as a result the car will fail the MOT. Either scrap the car or get rid of the issue permanently. doh
