Not being a "BSD", I can firmly attest, avow and affirm that bump steer can be a real issue just doing 50mph. As I told my dealer, on good roads that are reasonably smooth this little car handles superbly by my standards. As I live in Vermont where we have serious freeze cycles that can freeze the ground down to 7 feet deep, the frost heaves can practically bounce you to sub-orbit! Add the damage that Hurricane Irene did two years ago which reduced many of the roads to their constituent parts, as in rock and gravel, since many of the roads follow river beds... life can be interesting here!

I hope that a steering fix can be retrofitted. As for stiffening the frame, not likely. I was in a traffic jam in Woodstock, Vermont during foliage and the skip fire mode kicked in. Luckily, I knew what it was and it was only a matter of time before we were at speed. Nice to know it actually works!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
