OK, I finally heard back from my dealer after he got some useful info from the factory. Apparently the cars are shipped to the states with the immobizer disabled with a jumper wire. I need to get under the dash an disconnect the jumper and connect some other connector that they gave me instructions on. So as not to piss off the paranoid, I'll leave it at that. If anyone has any questions concerning this matter or need any detail relating to immobilizer placement, drop me a PM and I'll let you read the email I received and view the photos of the connectors.
