I suspect that the stiffened chassis was nothing to do with the Oz rules. There have been several chassis breakages in the front suspension area, and it needed beefing up more than a bit. The new stiffening triangulates the cross member behind the engine, now welded not bolted in place. Something which the rest of the chassis could do with in all honesty.
