.... if you are filling the bevel box until you get flow from the hole with the orange knob, you may be overfilling the box (however, if that will make it quiet, I'm all for it).
It is my understanding that the box should be filled until it overflows from the Allen bolt hole located above the drain plug.
This seems to take just under a pint of fluid. Anyone else care to weigh in this?
I questioned the FILL vs. INSPECTION plug locations during the PDI of my machine at the dealer, and was told the same.
I question why is the FILL location so much higher than the INSPECTION location?
I can understand it as a vent location but not as a FILL location.
Why would the INSPECTION location not be used to fill the BB also, as is done on many automobile differentials?
Am I missing something here?
