My original sprocket , without a flange , wore out in about 4000 miles . The replacement flanged one is showing very little wear and has done around 6000 miles .
My belt has been quiet since the replacement was fitted and I have never felt the need to put any sort of dressing on it which makes me think the noise is either an alignment or tension issue .
