Well, I did the trip today.

I managed 250 km at +/- 130kmh (=4k rpm, sometimes a little bit more evil ) before it said zero. It fluctuated a lot between 25% and zero for at least 50km before that. I stopped at 280 and filled up, but only managed to get 22L in, so I don't know what's going on.

I have the upgraded (longer) pipe sender, and it was full (not brimmed though, just second click) when I started, and the same when filling up.

Annoyingly once off the autoroute I pulled over in a village to wait for a convoy car and when leaving I drove forward over a curb, which caught the rear as the tyre dropped down and has removed some paint frown

Other than that it was great fun! Loads of smart phones on the motorway, especially lorry drivers. Not used to wearing a helmet and found a bit different - it drowns out all the usual noises, but you hear new ones to worry about! It also raises the top of your head just enough to be out of the protection of the screens.

Surprisingly I found my right foot hurt more than my clutch foot by the end - the angle of the accelerator pedal is quite upright. Seat comfort for long trips was much better than I expected though. And I got quite sunburnt on the bits which I missed with the cream, despite it being mostly cloudy and overcast

Wedding tomorrow, then the return trip on Sunday!
