I've never, ever had a problem with horse riders. I've always driven or ridden carefully around them and 99% of the time I've had a cheery wave for doing so.
As for cyclists what's the problem? They've as much right to be on the road as you have. If they're riding a couple abreast so what? Take your time and get round them safely, that's what it's all about.
