Absolutely agree with you. The Throttle Bodies are great fun - but the reality is that you have to really drive up at the top end of the tach to get the benefit.
I personally particularly enjoy swapping the cogs and revving the engine= Throttle Bodies.

Plus get rid of the standard and quite restrictive manifold/exhaust. As long as the car has the 'new' MX5 (and not the 'old' Ford) gearbox then swapping gears at the red line is an absolute pleasure. The sound effects are just an added bonus especially when changing down...
