I do yes. But I don't think the compensator changes the character of the engine. It is a brutal piece of machinery (I suspect the engineers at Morgan should've been a bit wiser/modest in their engine choice) and it clearly doesn't reach what I would call an engine "perfect tune" ("tune" as in musical melody, not as in "tuning") before 3000 rpm.
From then on, it's a beautiful ride, even in the sound department. And you don't feel that any part of the car is being stressed.
