on the pictures I realize that you have wrapped the front parts from the exhausts with some kind of 'Thermal' tape...is there an advantage by doing this ?...just curious, looks cool

Smaug, the simple answer is yes, there is an advantage in theory, but it also looks cool (and old school) which was my main driver!
Theory goes that if a header pipe is too cool, the exhaust gases nearest to the pipe walls will cool a little as well, causing a degree of turbulence within the flow and reducing the overall efficiency of the exhaust process. But if the headers are insulated then the temperature of the pipe walls remains higher, gas cooling is less, turbulence is less and flow is improved. However, this is probably more relevant to high rev'ing engines rather than big thumper twins I suspect, but there again our exhausts sit in a full hurricane wind most of the time, so the theory probably holds some water, even for us.
But they also look cool I think, make the car look even older and will save the odd burned finger or leg if bystanders get a little too close after a run.
Downsides are that they are buggers to fix properly, they get 'wind damaged' over time and will need re-wrapping eventually and you get itchy-scratchy little bits of fibreglass in your skin when fitting them if you're not careful and wear gloves!
