I had two pipes go at the same weld on a non brooklands 2012 model within 72 hours of each other (thank heavens I had warranty) - the modified replacements came in shorter and it looks like the original length caused the resonance frequency &/or reflected pressure waves to set up a harmonic/standing wave exactly at the weld, weakening the pipe and eventually the fatigue stress causing crack fracturing around the weld.

I too had no warning prior to the pipes giving way - the factory's silence with this issue leaves a lot to be desired.

It'll be interesting to see where we all go with these pipe issues - I really like the look of the brooklands silencers too, but this issue needs rapid remedy.
