This is the Airbag equiped Steering Wheel on my Aero Plus 8 Auto.
I've no idea where it came from, but is a lot better looking than the one on the earlier Plus 8s.
The flappy paddles are metal, covered in non slip rubber. Interestingly they only function when the transmission is in "Sport" Mode. The fit of the paddles is very neat: I was told by two people at MMC that the car was used to develop the flappy paddle shift introduced with the Speedster and may not be 100% representative of subsequent Plus 8s.
The Z8 wheel is really attractive: I'm told by
that it looks like the wheel on a 1950s Sunbeam....!
Z8 Steering Wheel I was going to talk to BMW to see if it would fit, but looking at the prices in the USA I think not: UK prices would be 20% higher...the VAT.
