Jays, you say to oil the hinge with light oil. Do you have to take off the bonnet to do this.
Oiling the beading I presume is the pvc beading.
Also when rotating the tyres where does the spare fit in? It seems the rear tyres wear out the fastest.
I used Three in One. In the end I ran it down both sides of the chrome strip with the bonnets closed, relying on the creep properties of the oil. Then opened up the bonnets and worked them up and down a few times. As mentioned, ACF50 would be even better.
The beading is the PVC ones. Oil top and under it...sparingly.
I never bothered rotating spare but probably will on the current car as it is the oldest and should be used.
