I like this option.
My Plus8 has an Everflex roof with press stud poppers at that location. The popper there is a bit out of position by just over half it's diameter and a bugger to fix and pops loose as the hood becomes very tight when fitted, especially in colder weather.
I considered a Tenax replacement utilising the same hole in the body but it stands too proud and the side screen hits it. This solution is slimmer and could work.
I will look for some neodymium magnets to try. I have some 3M clear wrap to use on that corner too as a protection for rubbing on the panel edge by the hood/side screen.
