The dreaded fuel guage caught me out for the first time this evening.
Thought I'd go for a quick spin and came to a grinding halt in a little village not too far from home. As luck would have it I was right opposite a secondhand car dealer. The owner was incredibly helpful and found a half full can of fuel. The beast was duly started to the accompaniment of huge amounts of blue smoke bangs and horrible running. The owner was mortified and realised he'd given me his lawnmower fuel. He was so emabarrased he drove me to the nearest petrol station armed with more cans to get some real fuel. Well we added it and after a minute of smokey running its back to normal. Just hoping the fuel injection doesn't mind oily fuel. Seemed to run fine on the five mile run home. Fingers crossed
