When it first pulled up in the parking lot of the bar/ restaurant (Cook's Corner) we were at, a crowd formed around it for a few minutes. As the crowd slowly shrank we could see the car. It was tall and stood above all the bikes parked around it.
Cook's is an old Biker bar about 15 miles into the canyons near where we live. It's a lazy bendy road that's a pleasure to ride. On any given weekend several hundred bikes fill the parking lot. Mostly Harley's with a sprinkling of everything else.
Ah yes, I remember Cook's Corner well.
Many good times had there; a little different then than from today.
Lived in Modjeska Canyon during the 70’s up the hill behind Madame Modjeska’s place.
Spent more than a few hours at the Bird Sanctuary as well.
Your post brings back fond memories.
As for the Slingshot – not my cup of tea.
