The swing arm pivot and the front sprocket for the belt are very close (possibly exactly?) to being on the same axis on the M3W so there is no real change in belt tension with suspension travel so can be safely run quite tight. Are Harleys the same? The vast majority of chain drive bikes are very definitely not arranged like this so some slack has to be allowed for the movement or cue one broken chain.
Having said that, the poly teeth modification looks very intriguing and could be a worthwhile change even on this side of the pond. I'm sure the standard sprocket from MMC will not be cheap. I'll certainly look into it in time when I have a new sprocket fitted and have the old scrap sprocket sitting gathering dust.
