Who are Garage 56? Is it an offshoot of Williams, are they a separate company and Williams are just a retail agent, are they a new company, do they 'do' other marques etc etc.
Does anyone know anything about them other than the little that has been published?
I met the guys at Autosport Intl at the NEC last month and they have an enviable background in all things motorsport it seems. They have formed a consultancy called Performance Projects that focusses on a lot of aspects of automotive design, innovation and from what I can gleen, are keen to develop products for niche markets such as the 3W. The 2 chaps I met are the founders (Chris and Terence) and in previous lives worked for the likes of Mallock, Cosworth, Renault F1, and Toyota F1, so their credentials are very good. In fact I probably spent rather too long chatting to them both, not just about the 3W kit but also other work they've done - I hope they didn't mind!

Performance-Projects Ltd I think Williams are just the supplying dealer and I suspect as many people are aware, Williams' image is that of a slightly more flexible, less traditional dealer for Morgan and have always been keen to do something different. Probably makes sense to market these through an organisation geared up to offer the full sales, fitting, aftermarket package, as I don't believe PP will be geared quite as effectively that way, being more a consultancy.
I personally have no links to G56, except that we bumped into eachother during my search for someone willing to make a decent exhaust for the cars. That they took the idea and extended that into a full blown and properly developed Stage-1 Kit is all the better for us! If they decide to make moves to look at the ECU as well, then there's no doubt that they have the knowledge and experience to do a first rate job of it. I'm very pleased that finally there seems to be someone in the M3W mix with the ability to make things work properly, outside of the factory. I perhaps see that G56 are to the engine side of things as Empire are to suspension development.
