Here’s a little rainy day garage job for anybody that might be interested and has a saw, a file and a drill.
I always fancied a pair of sun visor but was a bit dubious that some of the aftermarket ones might clash with my mirror and not fully fold down. Also my mirror was bonded slightly off centre so decided to knock these up using perspex.
The Perspex was easily sourced cut to size, edges polished and ready to go. Thought I would try ivory in the first instance to match the car. The interesting bit was the hinges. Couldn’t find anything suitable so ended up butchering an off cut of stainless piano hinge.

The new hinges chopped out. The rolls have been squeezed a little to produce a nice firm fit over the pins to ward off any droop and then finally given a bit of a polish to get a mirror finish. Optional spacers added to give a little extra clearance to miss the mirror.
