- what a coincidence; I have just finished upgrading my iMac to Yosemite after holding off for several months 'till I felt the bugs were sorted!
I did my Mac book air last week with no issues however, my iMac stuck on the install bar at 50% for hours.Cue palpitations as I feared the worst.
I Googled the symptoms and it seems a lot of people have randomly had the same problem.One guy suggested a fix involving 'cmd R" and switching off/on and it seems to have worked.
So, two Apple machines upgraded - one easy peasy and the other a nightmare.....!!
