I just don't believe in the excuse "It was an attempt at humour" to hide real intent. Just like Jack the lad's idiotic comment. I don't care if it was intended to be funny.
I believe I was making fun of a saying "It takes a sprat to catch a mackerel" rather than "attempting" to "poke fun" at "someone".
Fair enough, I see that now. Aerotaff called me a prat outright, though.
