Peter how do you cope with an accurate gauge. I would take it back and get them to replace it with the standard wandering gauge. It's part of the fun not knowing whether or not you will make the next petrol station.
"Standard wandering gauge", you mean as fitted to our poverty model 4/4s Roger?
I tend to fill up when the needle goes just under half full, but as we can get 40mpg or better in a 4/4, it is less of an issue for us.
