I think I've given up on my dream of owning an E type. Every time I've got close to affording one which might be more pleasure than pain, the prices have taken off again like a scalded cat. For the classicists amongst you, it's rather along the lines of poor old Tantalus.
My ideal E type would be a Mk1 4.2 coupé, but I could live with a series 2 coupé. Before any of you suggest that maybe I could run to a decent 2+2, I'm sorry, but the looks are such an important part of attraction of the E type, and I'm afraid that the 2+2 just doesn't do it for me.
The good news is that I love my Morgan so much that I don't even really care about it any more.
Yes , me too , love e- types but they are getting a bit silly prices and the Mog is fairly new but looks a lot older than any e - type !
