I think Hugh has hit the nail on the head, it is a limited market and very few younger buyers are looking to spend 30K on a car that requires so much effort to keep it running. Unfortunately we love having something different and Morgan's certainly fit that bill also SWMBO absolutely loves driving the new +8 so no problem there. Her favorite comment is "no pockets in shrouds" but I do occasionally try to think sensibly.
