There are moments when I look at the "first" XK8 and think - hhhmmmmmmm nice car - and then you look at the driver all cramped in - and then you look at the oh so 1980s Jag dash and you realise the beauty is only skin deep. (Although the latter R models are well sorted).



I think I could forgive the dash for those body lines. Jaguar sports cars have never been big on interior space but I'm 6ft and I fit in ok; not as cramped as some sports cars. I also think that the beauty is more than skin deep, the engineering is pretty good for the time especially once they had sorted the early engine problems.
