I think they are probably comparable it terms of freer breathing and increase in power but there are some differences.

Morgan stage 1 preserve the standard size of silencer and to me bark a bit more on start up. However thay are not a simple bolt on replacement as they need modified mouting brackets and it's not really clear if they have mountings for the heatshield.

I'll declare an interest in that I have bought this kit and as my car is going back to Morgan for some bodywork I'm going to wait for them to fit the exhausts.

The G56 kit looks very well made and fits perfectly. The silencers are larger than standard and on first sight looked to me a bit large but after a short time I didn't notice them. The sound is an improvement on the standard - a nice throaty burble.

The Morgan Stage 1 is a bit cheaper and Morgan have started to point out non standard parts could affect warranty - however given the culture of modifying Morgans this might be a risk worth taking.

If you are fittiing yourself then I wold say G56 is way ahead but if your dealer will take on the task of modifying the mounts then Stage 1 is perhaps cheaper (depending on your dealer's labour rate).

Subjectively G56 is possibly slightly quieter at start but on the move I think they are similar.

Hope this helps and as soon as I get my Stage 1 on the road I'll post some more thoughts.
