Update on my Plus 8:
Those excellent guys at the factory have discovered the cause of my engine problems and put it right, here's what they have told me:
Misfire poor running;
This was traced to a fault with the ECU, we found that the ECU was loosing adaption on bank one inlet cam, this was causing the timing to adjust and thus causing the misfire. As a precautionary measure we removed the front cam chests and physically checked the camshafts to ensure that the system was working correctly and no damage had been sustained.
ECU has been replaced and diagnostic system checked, then again after road test re-checked with no fault codes.
Needless to say I am very relieved that no damage was done and grateful to the guys at the factory for sorting out the problem so quickly. Looking forward to getting the car back next week.
