They cannot. The parts are all very expensive - the engine, gearbox and chassis tub are all eye-wateringly costly the way Morgan buys them, then the car is hand built.
A Morgan is what it is, it cannot be compared with any mass produced production line car.

You're quite right there. I can understand, maybe accept, Peters first sentence - the economics of making cars in as small a volume as the Plus 8 has to be horrendous. But I dont agree with the second sentence. Of course you can compare the Plus8 with other sports cars or other toys for that matter.. On the plus side there is rarity and a lot of other things I wont go into now - had they not sold the black demo car whilst I was away, I had done a deal and planned to buy it, believe it or not Jays! But it is frustrating that Morgan get so close and not quite IMO finish the job.
