I remember Gagarin going into space when I was a nipper. I was so impressed I wrote to the Russian embassy for information and they sent me a box full of space books, photos & other goodies. My interest has still not waned. A pity that kids these days are so full of the National Curriculum that doing "Project Work" on things like the ISS rarely happen. So imagination & enthusiasm is stilted. Bring back the good old days when teachers could teach what they thought was appropriate & use topical issues to fire the kids` enthusiasm.
