Other than that it was pretty easy for me. I just kept telling myself that I had 2,500 km to drive to get the car home.
For me Shelsley Walsh is a very unforgiving track narrow, and in a left hand drive car I found it difficult to sight the left hand curves. I suppose the right hand hairpin, where the incident occurred, is equally difficult in a right hand drive car.
By comparison the lovely road, wide enough for two trucks to pass, that is used for the hill climb at Caramulo is an absolute pleasure to drive.
