Huh?

The M3W is all about desire and lust, it's not at all even remotely practical, it's an adult toy. It's purpose is entertainment. A Miata is still a car, even if you make the choice to limit your experience of it as seasonal or otherwise limit it's use b/c of your choice to have it 'Special'. The "Specialness" is your own creation, a Miata really is just a car, and one produced by Mazda.

"Buyers remorse" doesn't really qualify here. Especially for folks who have multiple adult toys in the garage (I have 4). If you have the disposable income..the cash..to buy one without it affecting your life, both present and future, the struggle is largely within yourself about self gratification and entitlement..do you deserve another toy? Or is something else interfering with that....?

It's inconceivable to me that a dealer wouldn't be responsive to a potential customer's inquiry, it's not like they have potentials flocking into the store to do business with them. I think your dealer is an idiot, frankly, for not only failing to seize the opportunity to make money, but also to realize that he's selling pure, unadulterated desire and to play to that: Being gracious (mine didn't even offer me a seat!), acknowledging your enthusiasm, and being prompt and courteous in your requests for additional information...the art of knowing how to indulge. In the absence of responsiveness and acknowledgement of your (exposed) pure emotional desire, there's a natural tendency to pull back. But is that the result of a change of feelings about either your own desire or the actual driving experience, or rather the disappointment in some other factor not related to the 3 itself?

If you like the car and have the money for it, buy it. The other needs get met elsewhere.
