Hi everyone
Well I picked up "Elrond" as we have named our new 2011 4/4 yesterday. Went for a 150k drive down the coast of Melbourne, over night Melb then the ferry home to us and another 100k to home. AWSOME we absolutely adore him, but I have two questions if I may Q1 is simple
1. Under the clock below the drivers Side of the dash is dash light dimmer for the instruments and a small push button? What does that button do, and how do I adjust the clock?
2 . When I picked Elrond up the the owner had had an issue with intermittent brake light function. It had the Aus equivalent of an MOT last week and the mechanic said he took the switch apart and lubbed it, and all was well ( not really sure how you could do that to this type of switch.
Only just got home and none of the brake lights work now, I have tomorrow now to fix it before it's Tasmanian roadworthy inspection on Wednesday which I must pass So I could do with some advice.
There are two push button switches in front of the pedal base which are obviously the brake light switches, why two?
1st stop the fuse for the brake lights, where is it?
2nd I assume these are just standard micro switches and if I short out one or both on the back and the lights work that indicates a faulty switch ( again why two )?
3 if shorting the switch out works the lights are these just normal NC micro switches I could buy at an elctronics shop?
Any and all advice really gratefully accepted
