Some like them, others not.
On one trip to Scotland with a small group, an hour was spent removing one from a +8 one morning. Car had been fitted with one from new, but the owner could not get on with it, though I don't think he realised it was the pedal causing his problem. He was much happier driving afterwards.
Best to try a car with one fitted if you can...
