what about a robust diver model from Zeno watches from Basel/Switzerland?

Not that expensive (between 400 and 500 GBP), reliable and a good piece of stainless steel with automatic ETA mouvement.
OK, it´s neither a Rolex nor an Omega but as a "daily driver" I can recommand them.
I have 3 of them including the diver and my girlfriend uses 2 ot them also including the diver.

But there could also be some other models in the Zeno collection that could meet your requirements.
