I would get one at the right price. New are too ££££ and annual mileage is not high enough to give a net saving...even diesel is in that category. I am considering a cheap runabout ( not banger material but cheap!). A secondhand hybrid/electric would be ok but purchase price is the decider. Depreciation is the big main decider for me as it is the baseline killer. Day to day costs for low mileage are of lesser importance ( high VED duty /silly insurance are secondary considerations but I wouldn't want a big engined gas guzzler in high ins group.
