Folks,
We in Ireland have embraced metrication such that we have all distances in Kilometers and speedlimits in Kph ......BUT....we still have some old signs on backroads which are in Miles!!!! and those of my generation(55+)generally still think in old figures. My kids laugh hugely when I tell them about feet, inches, roods, chains etc!!!
We tend to still mention MPG but all adverts for cars now mention litres / 100Km but with MPG in Brackets.
I hope you are all suitably confused!!
