As one of the lucky people who gets to go to work on Bank Holiday Monday, I came into the office this morning and headed straight for the MSCC calendar to lift my spirits by turning the page to May. What did I find? Yes, a photo of the Peter Morgan Memorial Race in the rain on a dark, grey August Bank Holiday. I know it does sometimes rain in May, even in Worcestershire, but I have no wish to be reminded of that fact constantly for the next 4 weeks.
I'm afraid the calendar is going to have to face the wall until June comes, with a hope of something a little more uplifting.
