The stone guard idea is a good one. Very aware what rubber and silicone seals can do with a bit of grit under them to the underlying paint.

The tape Morgan used for the bonnet was a good idea in theory. The application, however, left much to be desired. I hope to redo this without damaging the paint as mine is seriously nasty looking and not befitting a 'classic' car's appearance.
