Never seen a Harley with glowing pipes.
Maybe they set them up like Harley's though.
I had a Sportster back in 1990, it was utterly gutless so I took it back to the dealer to complain, he said they get better once the exhaust is tuned at the first service.
The Exhaust tune consisted of taking off the silencer, sticking a steel rod in one end and belting it with a hammer to knock out the baffles, the bike ran better but the silencer had a much shortened life. One can only assume that the motors are such a bad design that the only way to get them past noise reg's is to stifle them so much they loose power. Maybe on on the Mog they are even more baffled causing a heat build up?
