A year ago as I set off from Cumbria for a Morgan holiday in the Loire Valley the speedo/mileometer went faulty only showing about 10% of the speed or miles traveled. On my return the speedo was replaced and all was well until two weeks ago in Spain.
Halfway through the trip on turning the engine off the rev counter stuck at 2,000 revs. This was a first although it does occassionally stick at 1,000 revs.
The following day when I turned on the ignition the rev counter dropped back to zero and all the miles were cleared from the mileometer and trip!
Since then it's behaved normally.
Any ideas what might have caused this?
I now keep a record of actual miles run in the service guide as the actual recorded miles are a nonsense.
On the same trip the easy-up hood release handle broke - for a second time. This time the pivot sheared at the bottom. I wish someone would make an aluminium version.
