Would be fascinating to see a Morgan response to this (I would expect the belt drive to be justified based on avoiding things like lubrication, although all the "noisy bevel box" threads indicate a cost to pay). The loctite would be excused as "playing safe sir". Missing swinging arm plastic plug should be on a reassembly checklist for dealers.
Wonder if lubrication could be done via some kind of drip mechanism? Probably would have to be at the bevel box i.e. "fixed" end.
