Top Gear USA tested the Supersport at Bruntingthorpe - taking it to silly speeds in a straight line (which is scary) and also pushing the handling.
I've not found it that easy to balance on the tail. I know when it will come round but I don't find it overly progressive. Mind you the other 2 cars I have being find the limits with recently have been an Exige S and the M3 (on slicks) - both on track.
I find you can make more than adequate (where adequate is the stated limit) without the back-end ever getting lively. I suspect the brand new Golf R I dropped easily on the back roads wasn't expecting how well they go round corners.
