Yes you can drain it from underneath, the drain plug is on the rear of the bevel box the filler is above that or if you are going to fill through the orange breather that is on the right hand side.
It is easier to fill from above after removing the boot liner and use a large syringe and a plastic tube, I use the orange breather to fill and can also access this from behind but I do have slim arms. This means I do not have to remove any interior trim, only the boot liner.
