Could I just dispel the myth that whatever spares you carry you won't need? Today my rocker cover gasket started leaking between Reims and Nancy. Thanks to carrying a 2 quid spare that takes up no room whatsoever everything was sorted within half an hour. Dinner will now taste even better this evening.
I'd also refer you to my earlier post about changing your towel at your hotel when it gets dirty. A well known hotel chain will be laundering a rather oily example tomorrow which I have swapped for the clean one now in the car.
